NEW ACCOMPLISHMENT #12/14

On the 20th of August we crossed over into Vermont, the first of the final three states! Bring on the Green Mountains and the maple syrup!

The first 105 miles of the A.T. in Vermont run along the Vermont Long Trail; our nation's first long distance hiking trail where Benton Mackaye envisioned the creation of the Appalachian Trail and where the white blaze trail system was born.

NEW ACCOMPLISHMENT #11/14

On August 14th after a buggy run in Connecticut, we entered our 11th state, Massachusetts!

August 6th: After an amazing time in New York, where we hiked through some of the most beautiful wilderness we have seen so far, we enter our 10th state, Connecticut!

On July 31 we made it to our 9th state, The Empire State! Delis, views of the skyline, and the Hudson River all await!

We made it to Virginia after a short stint in Tennessee. Our first stop is Damascus, VA for Trail Days!

After weaving in and out of North Carolina and Tennessee thru-out the Smokies we are now officially  in Tennessee, onward towards Virginia!

NEW ACCOMPLISHMENT #5/14 On July 1st we made it out of the longest state on the A.T.!

After a rocky run through Pennsylvania, we have finally crossed the Deleware! Seven states down and on to our eigth; where we are promised a dense population of black bear, swampland boardwalks, and a possible end to the rocks?! Only miles will tell...
