A large fallen tree was obstructing the trail so we had to hike about 25 yards down a hill to make our way around it. On the way back up the hill we came across this nearly three foot long snake (which we have yet to identify) coiling up right under our feet! Moose quickly evaded and went well around it to make a quick escape back to the trail. Teton snapped a few pics before mounting his GoPro to his trekking pole to get this epic shot of the snake. The force of the snakes strike was incredible and quite exhilarating and sent Teton into a tizzy of excitment!
